There are many district attractions and facilities within easy distance of the Bushman's Rest. Tennis Courts, Ovals Public tennis courts and sports ovals are part of the Lake Cullulleraine precinct. Walking Track A 10 km public walking track circumnavigates Lake Cullulleraine. Meals & Supplies Supplies and light meals can be purchased from a neighbouring road house while table meals can be enjoyed at the Werrimull Hotel Lock 9 The award winning Lock 9 and it's impressive fishway are just a short drive away at the MURRAY RIVER. A wonderful pioneer museum has been developed in the neighbouring town of Meringur. The museum graphically presents the history and development of the district in a very informal and 'hands on' way. Bird Watching The bird club of South Australia has visited the park for bird watching activities and recorded over 70 bird species in the locality. This station, now owned by Trust For Nature, contains a mosaic of rare landforms and threatened ecosystems. Visitors are welcome |
